Hi. We are Dale and Leslie Swensen, We live in Millville, UT. We have 4 kids, 3 girls, and 1 boy. And 6 grand kids. Our company came about when Dales uncle, having terminal cancer, came to him and asked if he would make an old west style pine box to be buried in. After tons of compliments, and winning awards in the fair, he woke up one night thinking The Boot Hill Coffin Co. over and over in his mind. He knew that was inspiration to name a business. Not long after that, Measha Gittins, who at the time was the reigning Miss Rodeo Idaho, asked him if he would create something to donate to her fund raising auction to send her to the NFR's the following November. He had always wanted to make a clock, and this would be a good time. He found a chunk of black walnut, went 'surfing' on google image and found pictures of an old mill in all 4 seasons. He named that clock Seasons in Time. Then he added 'KlockWorks' to the business. We love making clocks for people, to see the excitement and joy in their faces when they see the finished product is a wonderful feeling. I think we have that awesome gift for that hard to buy for person in your life.
